Last October the Montana State University Extension offices sponsored a "Reimaging Rural" series of meetings to learn how rural America, in particular rural Montana, communities are fundamentally changing.
Representatives from Missouri Valley Marketing attended all 3 "Reimaging Rural" sessions and participated in defining how population shifts due to retirees, population growth and the pandemic are changing Rural America.

Working with Southwest Montana, Missouri Valley Marketing has been distributing tourism aimed COVID Awareness and procedures to businesses in Townsend and Broadwater County.
The State of Montana is funding the COVID Awareness programs through the Federal Cares Act funding.

On Saturday Oct 19, 2019 Missouri Valley Marketing (MVM) hosted a Burgers, Bingo and Banana Splits night at the Senior Center. Between 
30-35 seniors attended the free event. They were served a BBQ hamburger, baked beans and chips meal.

COMMUNITY THEATER GROUP TO PREPARE FOR UPCOMING PLAY
The newly formed Broadwater Community Theater group will gather Thursday, June 27 at 7:00pm in the Community Room of the Library. The meeting agenda will include election of officers and formation of committees in preparation for the upcoming mid-August play. The venue for the play is the new Lodge of Townsend on Spruce St.

On April 28th Missouri Valley Marketing sent a letter to Larry Lambert, President/CEO of Lambert Hotels, a letter asking Lambert Hotels to consider building a new hotel in the Townsend/Silos area.

The Missouri Valley Marketing Trivia Night Team - Keith Kirscher, Robin Kirscher, Ross Johnson, Diane Johnson, Phil Clark, Pam Sample, Vic Sample - were the top team on Thursday night at the Broadwater Educational Foundation Trivia Night. After a great taco dinner supplied by the Foundation the Trivia Night event was started.

MVM host Southwest Montana at The Lodge in Townsend
On March 27 Missouri Valley Marketing (MVM) hosted the Southwest Montana Board meeting at the newly renovated “Lodge in Townsend”. Over 35 people from the 9 nine county Southwest Montana region including 10-15 people from Broadwater County attended the meeting. Lunch was catered by Mountie Moose Bakery with a welcoming assortment of sandwiches, salads, chips and desserts.
